Congratulations to all those who will be celebrating their coming of age.
We have sent out admission tickets for the 2026 Kochi City Coming-of-Age Ceremony to those who were born between April 2, 2005 and April 1, 2006 and are registered as residents of Kochi City as of November 1, 2025.
The barcode on your admission ticket will be read at the reception desk, so please bring your admission ticket on the day of 2026 Kochi City Coming-of-Age Ceremony. Please read the precautions before coming to the ceremony.
Please note that the content of the ceremony is subject to change. For the latest information, please visit the Kochi City Seishounen-Jimukanri-ka (Division of Youth and Office Management) website or the official Kochi City Coming-of-Age Ceremony Instagram (user ID: kochicityseijinsiki).
〇 Outline of the 2026 Kochi City Coming-of-Age Ceremony
・Date: Sunday, January 11, 2026
・Location: Kochi Kenmin Taiikukan （Kochi Prefectural Gymnasium）(2-1-53 Sanbashidori, Kochi City)
・Time: Doors open 11:15 a.m.; Starts 12:00 p.m.
〇 For those who live outside of Kochi City and wish to attend the Kochi City Coming-of-Age Ceremony
You must come to the ticket reissuance desk next to the entrance to get an admission ticket. You must bring documentation to show that you don’t live in Kochi City, such as an invitation to a ceremony from your home city, driver’s license, student ID card, utility bill payment and so on.
○ Please note
・Please enter the venue promptly after the doors open at 11:15 a.m,
・Admission will be restricted after 12:00 p.m.
・In order to foster self-awareness as a new adult, those not acting or dressed appropriately for the ceremony will be barred from entering the venue or asked to leave.
・No chatting or using cellphones during the ceremony.
・Please use public transportation and refrain from arriving by car.
・Please notify us ahead of time if you will be using a wheelchair or require assistance.
〇 Hatachi no Hiroba (20-Year-Olds’. Plaza)
On the day of the ceremony, youth volunteers will set up the Hatachi no Hiroba. Please use it as a meet-up and photo spot.
Location： Kochi City Seinen Center (north side of the Kochi Prefectural Gymnasium)
Open: 12:30 - 14:30 (tentative)
Contents: Dressing up corner, Exhibition corner,Commemorative photo corner
